Just when you need it most it picks you up, spins you around and slings you on through to the weekend finish line. Wednesday night's Blues Masters Jam at The Clubhouse is a real lift to the spirits right when mid-week gloom threatens to settle in.

Your host is Craig Louis Dingman, aka Big Daddy of Code Blues band, with a starting lineup of Gary Drysdale on bass and Rick Pittman on drums. A host of fine players then shares the stage to create an evening of energy and entertainment.

The cadre of regular contributors has set a standard of performance that guarantees good times for the savvy patrons of the blues who regularly congregate to inject the proceedings with a celebratory vibe. Dancing and socializing put a buzz in the room that co-mingles with the music to produce a groovy road house night club feel.

On any given Wednesday we might enjoy performances by:

Joe Five & Dime of Jim Townsend Band with his spat informed style and stable of vintage amps, on harp, horn and vocals.

Little Jimmy, late of Boston, who never fails to surprise and energize, with a playbook of over 1,000 tunes.

Lorenzo Pace, also of Jim Townsend Band, on reeds.

Brent Donnels, of Dr. Danger, on keyboards.

Bruce Krupnik of Code Blues on guitar and vocals.

Rick Munoz of Code Blues on harmonica and vocals.

Burnin' James Scoolis of House Red Band and Burnin' James and the Funky Flames, on guitar and vocal.

Jeff Pirillo on harmonica.

And more. We've had fun guest sets from Lenny Blue and The Amazing Stupifiers, among
others, and sit-ins from a lot of the top players around.

Blues Masters Jam at The Clubhouse is all about letting it all out and having fun while shaking off the cares of the day.
