"Pop Bluegrass" or "Power Folk" are terms used to describe the style of The Scarlet Furies, but their sound isn't easy to pigeon-hole. It most neatly falls into Alternative, though it could also be called Alt Folk, Roots, Acoustic or Americana.
To paint a picture, imagine Neil Young songs played by a pop-rock band playing bluegrass instruments, fronted by Patsy Cline with backup vocals by the Everly Brothers.
